Went to Ammershwihr last Saturday and randomly walked into this restaurant for lunch. We seem to be the only guests in that quiet afternoon. The atmosphere was very cozy and family-like, run by a warm, kind couple that reminds me of my own grandparents. The entrecote was very nice with a fresh scent of herb butter. My friend and I didn't speak French and the owner didn't speak English, but he treated us with great kindness and patience, and showed us his collection of 2022 Beijing Olympic torch! We really appreciate them for taking care of us and adding this sweet little surprise to our Alsace memory.
First time we choose this place for a meal. Typically Alsatian place. Small room but that's what we were looking for: authenticity. The dishes are copious, the history of the restaurant, the cellars, the butchery and the stables is told to us. Thank you again for taking us on a journey and taking us with you to the Alsace of yesteryear.
Very nice discovery at the turn of our walk. It's all right, but it's homeless. The sauerkraut (is copyy and excellent (there was not this little taste of acidity). This winemaker welcomed us warmly and made us share his passions. She's the lady in the furnaces. We spent a very good time and left delighted with this beautiful discovery.

We had a very good time in this authentic and friendly little restaurant. The sauerkraut was excellent with a very good value for money. Everything is done home and the owners are very warm! We recommend this address.
