A good friend of mine insisted that we eat at Cedars of Lebanon for lunch. I think she goes here a lot they all seem to know her. The place was packed. Everything smelled appetizing walking in the tiny restaurant. I was instantly won over by the servers. They were so charming. I ordered the Cedars special platter which consisted of the tastiest chicken shawarma. It also came with salad, hummus and rice. Everything was tasty and perfectly seasoned. We also had the baklava for desert. The portion size was smaller than I anticipated but it sure made up for it in flavor.
What a delight, from start to finish. I wish I knew about cedars of Lebanon much sooner. The food was fantastic. We felt like we stepped off a plane and found ourselves in Middle East. The cafe platter that feeds three people was more than enough with nice portions. Every mezza complimenting one another. Mr. Kareem's hospitality was so welcoming makes anyone feel at home. What a beautiful place. We will certainly be going back again.
The humus and falafel here are the standard. The best I’ve tasted anywhere in DC and maybe the US. I’m from Palestine/Jordan, so the bar is high. We also get shawarma, kibbeh, and a lot of other yummy things (like humus special with ground beef)! Vegetarian options: Love all the veggie options. Humus, falafel, labaneh, etc. Dietary restrictions: Halal meat. Delicious food Service: Take out
Always a pleasure. Friendly personal service in a small cozy Lebanese homestyle restaurant. And they have the best homemade apple cake I've ever tasted in my life! And did I mention the Baklava?! It's amazing. I had the Mouzat (I know that I probably murdered the spelling of it). It is lamb with rice and tomatoes and other spice sauce and spices. It was great. And the hummus yum yum.
Nahhhhh, this is some of the best fold I've ever had fr. Babaganoush is a 10/10. The service was excellent. Quiete little spot, the meat was I credibly tender and flavors really locked in. Their rice pudding was a pleasant suprise. It's some of the best I've ever had. I'll be returning here often. Truly. 10/10 experience. Parking: Plenty of parking everywhere. Service: Dine in
