We stayed nights in the centre of Aurillace this February. The first night was a Monday and we ventured out of our hotel to find food! Did a bit of homework and found out the Celtic Tavern did good food so we went there....We were told they were too busy to accommodate us (I expect because most of the restaurants in Aurillac are closed on Mondays). We went back a couple of nights later to eat. The place is very tatty, very brown, trying very hard to be what it is not, an Irish pub. The food was average, we had a hamburger with chips (the curly type that you suspect are not actually made of potato) Edible only because we were hungry. We did not have dessert as the waitress took so long to get...
Nothing wrong really but number here ? The outside terrace is proof that can offer the most scabby space and put tables there and people will eat! Even if overlooked by broken windows Pizza were well cooked and enjoyed by my wife and son....Although asking for a spicy pizza in France is pointless. The French seem to think Tomato Ketchup is spicy ! Cote de Boeuf was ok. Not best cut of meat but was tasty enough Just think an OK place. That's all

And while I was grateful for the generous sauce in the burger it did actually ruin the bun and turned it to a soggy, chewy deformed piece of nothing. It was...ok for a small outing in the city but nothing much to say about it

Had dinner and drinks at this place : ordered their popular black burger but was disappointed as the bun was flaky and didn't hold the patty. However the taste was good, the volume quiet generous and ok presentation
Good food pasta, pizza, gallettes mostly. No starters only plat et dessert. Outdoor eating area at front of restaurant, but also quiet covered terrace area at the back. Also serve Breton cider and Guinness
We were passing by, and popped in for a pint. The pub is traditional , nice lay out. Staff helpful. I could sit here for a while, it's bang in town, so it's handy , food never had any, so can't comment
Everything I have tried in this "pub" restaurant has been good. I cant fault it. Have eaten here many times
