I didn't expect to review a menu del dia, however, good friends introduced us to this little eatery before they scarpered to Australia...for ever! No wow factor from the street outside, not very busy yet nice and clean inside. People were hungry and chose 2 courses as I was studying the menu del dia, for Sunday, included steak and 4 other courses for 9,50 euros, not bad! Even if the steak arrived as a flatpack Ikea model I thought quantity would win, but no, mine was a win-win. From warm bite size toast with dips (for everyone), a refreshing salad to an unusual but tasty eggs(and ham) benedict then, maestro please...a superb sirloin steak, no instructions needed, medium rare. I was in heaven...
Tonight we were very impressed with our meal. I had the last Solomillo Cerdo for 9.60€ and my husband had the Entrecote Ternera for 13.60€ and both were very tender and tasty. I usually like lamb but the last two times I had it here they were overcooked and blacken. The amount of food was so much that we were not able to eat dessert, but last time we had a new dessert that was out of this world. I have a different opinion now knowing they are able to serve delicious meals and can highly recommend this restaurant and for a good price.
Came across this restaurant by accident when walking around looking for somewhere to eat. The interior is really nicely decorated and very clean. The first time we visited we ate inside, the second time we ate outside as the weather was much warmer. The food is excellent and very tasty with good portion sizes. The menu is varied and there is a choice of full meals or tapas. We ate from the a la carte menu but I think Menu del Dia is also available at lunchtime.
