We found Chaia on a morning walk. It is located just off Gosforth high street so could be missed. It is a cute little place with indoor and outdoor seating. The tea menu is amazing, you are really spoilt for choice. There is a great...selection of breakfasts, sandwiches and salads. They also do amazing freshly baked cakes and scones, it is hard to choose which one to get because they all look amazing. I would recommend the blue mango green tea or the popcorn tea, they are both delicious. Also the cheese scones are a must. All the staff are amazing and always happy to help. if you are in the area this place is definitely worth a visit.
Having just moved to Gosforth, we’ve been trying all the indy coffee and tea shops, of which there is a fab selection. Chaia is fabulous and our favourite. The staff are lovely and the setting is cosy. My friend had the recommended ‘Sparking Strawberry Green...Tea’ and hugely enjoyed it. I’m a coffee person and the Americano was top notch. The cakes and menu looked stunning but we are saving those as we intend to be regulars going forward!
Booked in an afternoon tea at last minute (which they were really helpful in accommodating) and it was brilliant. Firstly, it's really well priced. Secondly, the choice of teas is HUGE. Thirdly, you get to pick what you want so you don't all have to...have the same type of scone or cake. Finally, the portions are so generous! DEFINITELY recommend and would DEFINITELY return
huge selection of tees, but the stars of the show are some simply gorgeous cakes! victoria sponge filled with strawberry jam and fresh saw and much of it! apfel crumbcake saw divine heavenly and white chocolate hat? yes, please! a tiny place,...but loved the funky interieur, elephant teapots and chill out music. a beautiful change. they can have the best coffee and the best cake in gosforth (up to a certain edge) but twice I hastened to come there for a take-away on a Sunday, came there before closing to say they have closed the coffee machine for the day....Great product. poor service. personal usually excellent, but unfortunately not this time
Absolutely lovely!! The staff were absolutely lovely. The place is small and cosy. Just what I wanted for a lovely coffee trip in December. Will definitely be back with friends and family. They’re vegan friendly but have lots of lovely dishes for anyone. Would highly...recommend.
Went in for a quick solo breakfast. The menu is extensive and they have lots of vegan options. You can tell the produce is good quality and the cakes looked amazing. Interior, though small is really cute and the staff were friendly. Will go again...for sure.
I have met a friend for a catcher and found this beautiful little place. the personal could not have been more helpful. we had both tee in the quirky elephant teapots and a piece of malteser cheesecake for which we should die! will definitely be back. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
I was immersed for some of the cakes and tee, good I was most impressed! tee was nice and hot and the cake for which they must die! will soon be visited again
