Awesome place , you can bring the kids in early as well , plenty of menu options . I do not come here as much as i would like in fear of running into my friends Mike and Chris. Mike lives here and is a loud Ranger fan who uses the word guy way to often. Chris his sidekick is aggressive and keeps buying you beer so you cant leave . One time they put my children in an Uber while i was using the restroom , thank God they got home safely. Warning Chris has recently moved to Commack so he will right next to Mike more than ever. I will just continue to to order take out .
My husband and I sat at the bar for a half hour waiting for a bartender to get us a drink and a menu. We were ignored by 3 bartenders. We had to ask them to get serve us, not the other way around. Then my husband ordered a draft beer and asked my to smell it because it didn’t smell right. It smelled like dirty dishwater. Glasses red to be rinsed clean, not just dipped into a 2nd sink of water that’s full of soap and dirty and smelly. This is our home town bar, we were in town for the holidays. Unacceptable. We will never go there again.
I was refused service for alcohol because I presented an out-of-state ID from Connecticut, which the manager clearly does not accept. This is completely ridiculous. I wouldn't recommend supporting this establishment. Instead, I went to another place that welcomes customers from all locations. Times Ale House can keep its strict policies to itself.
While I've been here for years, there have recently been improvements. Let's start with the wings that can be hit or measured. The larger wing regulations are filled with small wings, so keep to the smaller orders. However, they have recently upgraded the salads that deserve five stars. Also the loaded notes are excellent!! This place is good, I would go back. The bar food is better than average. We ordered tater tots, buffalo wings, and calamari. Evening was delicious. The wings were crispy, and when I asked, they gave me extra sauce on the side. The sauce is tangy. Our server was extremely attentive and helpful, but not friendly.Food: 5/5
I recall enjoying Croxley’s Ale House much more—it’s a far better sports bar in my opinion. However, if you’re with a large group, Changing Times does offer plenty of tables, numerous TVs, and a decent selection of typical sports bar food, which could be appealing. But next time, I'll stick with Croxley’s.
