I am surprised by the low rating this place has as it is super-popular! with waiting literally from the door of every weekend, they must board early if they want to pick up some lunch. they make a series of sandwiches, quiches and salates, as well as some traditional French pornstars. the reason why it gets a lower rating from me, it is really not veggie-friendly. because you are traditional French, practically none of them is vegetarian (no excuse what the menu says). but my carnivorous love this place!
Understated and underrated ….and underpriced). Excellent French sandwich shop/deli. Staff are very personable and quick service even during the lunch time rush. Chicken and truffle mayo baguette holds my strong recommendation and a lemon tart. A great little independent business that is a 2 minute walk from Southfields station.
I used to come to this restaurant for their sandwiches all the time, but I've noticed lately that the quality has become very inconsistent. There seems to always be something missing or an imbalance in the ingredients. Additionally, there is an odd atmosphere inside. I hope they can return to their previous standards soon.
I like Chanteroy, have been going for years. Baguettes, croissants and pain au chocolat all very good. One thing I’ve learned though don’t try to order more than one sandwich at the same time because they will completely mess the order up, without fail. I often have breakfast and lunch. the prices are very reasonable and the food is always delicious and fresh. Often the bakers are warm and the staff is helpful and friendly. I would recommend to anyone who crosses southfields and wants an affordable, fresh and tasty lunch.
It used to be scary cheap and **** good. Now, it's less cheap, but still **** good. The baguettes are fantastic. Would recommend.
The baguettes were delicious and the customer service was excellent. I do wish there were more filling options available.
