I visited this place several times while my family was on vacation in Harrison Hot Springs. The latte frappe was quite good; I think it could benefit from an extra shot of espresso, but I still enjoyed it. I didn’t try the gelato, but almost everyone else in my group did, and they all seemed pleased with their choices. On our first visit, there was only one employee working, and the place was really busy, but she did an amazing job handling all the orders while maintaining a cheerful attitude. Overall, it’s a great spot to take everyone for a cold treat on a hot day!
In the 1990’s, this unit used to be an Italian Restaurant. I was actually named after the owner This summer, on a road-trip to BC, decided to stop by to see if the restaurant and Bruno were still active, as it’s been 25+ years since I’ve been here. Sadly they weren’t. Seeing that a Gelato Cafe now operates this space, and that I haven’t ate this often, decided to try it out. It was great! So many flavors to choose from. I’m not familiar with Gelato, but I imagine traditional Gelato tastes like what I enjoyed here. It’s definitely worth a visit.
I recommend calling ahead before visiting, as I learned they were supposed to close at 9:30, but actually closed at 6. I was traveling to Salmon Arm and took a 25 km detour just to enjoy their ice cream, which was very disappointing.
The staff is incredibly welcoming, and the gelato is absolutely delicious! I had the raspberry cheesecake and the café caramel macchiato, and both were fantastic! Highly recommended!
So many choices of flavour of high quality gelato. The only down side is having to choose. A must visit if you're in Harrison Hot Springs.
