Our reservation at 8 pm was ready at 7:55 pm, on time. The restaurant was very busy at 8pm on a Sunday evening, especially since it closed at 9pm. The server was very personable and hustled with prompt service. She had a large table of 12 going on in the private dining room near our table and two other tables who were finishing up. We frequently visit Charlie Gittos and typically find the food to be delicious and the service exceptional. Our usual server, Matt, consistently provides fantastic service. However, tonight's experience was quite different, which is why I'm giving just 4 stars. Unfortunately, tonight's experience warranted 0 stars. Our server, Karen, was disappointing. She brought our food out cold, and then I had to wait 10 minutes for steak sauce. When we requested the sauce a second time, her response was quite rude. The waitress asked if we wanted our salads served first, but neither of us had ordered any, and they weren't included in our meal. My wife agreed to the salad and ended up being charged for it. When I inquired if the salad was part of the meal, she confirmed that it wasn't, so I declined. We then placed our meal orders and were asked if we wanted any side dishes. When I asked what sides were included, the waitress said none, so my wife ordered asparagus while I opted for broccoli. I celebrated my niece's 17th birthday today, and what a wonderful experience it was! The setup was beautiful, and the staff was exceptionally friendly, which is a pleasant surprise these days. The food was fantastic—truly fine Italian cuisine. The restaurant is located in the Hollywood Casino in Maryland Heights, MO. My only complaint would be the strong smell of cigarette smoke that drifted in from the casino area. Despite that, it was still a lovely event. I highly recommend the lasagna and the signature spaghetti and meatballs! I do apologize for not taking pictures of the food; I got carried away and started eating before I realized!

I visited the restaurant for a family birthday dinner, and it was a fantastic experience. The grilled chicken pizza was delicious, and the birthday cake was also superb. My water glass was always filled with ice and never went empty, which I appreciated. The service was outstanding. If you’re a first-time visitor, note that the menus are organized separately; there’s no mixed drink menu, just a wine menu, and you need to ask for it. Similarly, the dessert menu is separate, but just asking will do the trick. Overall, it was a wonderful experience!
My friend and I had a delightful dining experience at Charlie Gitto's. I started with the wedge salad, topped with blue cheese dressing, featuring cold, crisp lettuce along with chopped tomatoes and bacon. For my main course, I had the lasagna, which I believe is the best in town. It comes with both red and white sauces and a generous serving of a meat and cheese blend. Everything was accompanied by freshly baked Italian bread. The staff was friendly and attentive, making the overall experience even better.
Great restaurant, great service (server was Katie) all positives. Only tiny thing was my guest received a side order of creamed spinach and did not know why, she did not order it. We told her maybe it comes with your meal. She did not want it or eat it. Later, after getting home and looking at the detailed check, I saw that the spinach was a $9 add on that was not ordered or touched. I guess mistakes happen. All in=all a very nice restaurant!
First time dining before a concert so we only had salads and apps. My wife loved the Italian chopped salad. My Caesar salad was good but small. The Signature shrimp app was good but pricey (3 shrimp for $22). The toasted ravs were a big disappointment. Imo's are much better. Noise level was loud. Service was adequate.

Every penny worth it. If you run another mill regularly $30 steak go to Longhorn or something. If you want better, come here. Filets, lobster bisque and pasta are of the highest quality. All we had was excellent, and atmosphere and service deserve the 5-star rating.
Each trip to St Louis we stop and eat at Charlie's Gittos. We usually have an excellent meal but not this time. My fillet was dry, and the vegetables were not up to standard. Kinda disappointed.
