This is the first time I have found myself complaining about terrible service but in the end not blaming the staff but blaming the owner. We had to stand 5 minutes at the entrance to the restaurant waiting for the head waiter to show us to the table. We felt ignored. We sat 10 minutes while nothing happened. We were then given menus. We ordered some water while we studied the menu. We waited another 10 minutes for the water to return. We read reviews about La Cueillette and were apprehensive about dining in the hotel. What a magnificent experience a meal here offered. From the fishbowl on the table to the decadent cheese trolley, one was made to feel like an over indulged member of the French aristocracy pre La Revolution. And I loved it!The dining room is exquisite, with hand painted frescos and beautiful linen and crockery. The table itself was a work of art.The meal too was divine, all perfectly cooked and well balanced. Our waiter was a delightful man who gently assisted and offered guidance where necessary. Stayed here for three nights to visit the wine area. Good location and a lovely village. Room was very good and spa also nice. However overall this hotel needs a lot of work to be classed as 4 star. Worst of all was the restaurant and restaurant staff in the evening. Reception staff very helpful. Food is ok but almost no choice with just two set menus. We wanted wine and asked for recommendations and were told "they are all good!". Breakfast had nothing hot except a boiled egg which you had to cook yourself. Fruit was poor and you even had to get your own tea/coffee! No lift and towels for the spa were not provided after the first night unless you asked. The real problem seemed to be lack of... We came here on our first night in Burgundy. I must say the chateau is absolutely stunning. The backyard terrace overlooks the vineyards and a beautiful old church and the restaurant room is so elegant and so beautiful. The atmosphere is marvellous! The food we had was very nice, we tried some of the wines from the vineyards which were also delicious. The waiting staff was very attentive and friendly. Especially the older waiter, which was a delight to talk to! He told us the history of the castle and gave us some tips on what to visit during our stay in Burgundy. Our experience was great and I can't wait to return!
We were staying at the hotel and figured we would only eat here on one night, but ended up eating here twice and it didn't disappoint. Lot's of interesting options on the menu and a good wine list with lots of local selections. Service was top notch and the room is exactly what you would expect eating in a chateau.
The place is amazing, very classic with decorated ceiling. Dinner menu is great, specially the tasting menu. Service is very good. They should improve their breakfast as the flavor of the food was average. Terrace is beautiful with a few to the vineyard and a small church.

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at La Cueillette! The chateau is lovely and the dining room really feels like something special. The service was impeccable and the food was wonderful.
