Locguenole - Tisch resevieren

It is supposed to be a relais et chateau which we stay at often and respect the brand. This hotel is a shocking representation of the brand : it is very run down, understaffed and feels more like a family home that has run out of money and turned it into a makeshift hotel. The restaurant is a fantastic place for dinner but is wildly expensive for what it is. Spa area is oddly positioned inconvenient and a bit creepy. The pool feels very cheap with the low rent plastic furniture and cover mechanism . The rooms are lovely but you will be confined to them . The grand salons though lovely are lifeless and unwelcoming , as if you are intruding on someone's home.

Étant habitué à cet excellent château nous avons voulu y retourner pour voir le nouveau restaurant . Accueil chaleureux ,barman très sympas . Arrivée au restaurant très grande qualité du service, serveuses souriantes , une sommelière excellente très compétente. Nous avons très bien mangé. Par contre la quantité des plats est vraiment limite pour le tarif presque rien dans l’assiette. Idem pour les desserts .

Good location, great Michelin 1* restaurant. The property grounds were magnificent. The place slowly grew on you each day being there. We stayed at the junior suite, which was lovely. It's so hard to maintain a mansion with grounds like this. Appreciated all the efforts put in to make it special. Staff was friendly as you began to chat with them. Will definitely come back.
