I could not have ever been more dissapointed than here ever ! in France! Not being biased and yes, we all know French are very country proud but the lack of any simple English speaking is totally overrated! I have been very arrogantly greeted at the registration from a rather unfriendly moody Receptionist who made it quite clear she doesnt enjoy her job. The rooms look good but that 's about it. The highlight is food,hahaha! At 6:30 pm which seems to me a perfect dinner time,nobody was 1. at the restaurant 2. at the bar ... Im talking about staff not guests! Had lunch there today as we had to be at the castle. Gazpacho very good and served in an original manner. Shrimp starter also nice with their crinchy minscule cubes of vegetable but two shrimp is perhaps on the 'minimal ' or stingy side. Steamed seabass fillet tasty and not too cooked; with a lemongrassy ? sauce. Filet of piglet lovely with grilled red peppers; puree was on the cold side though. Deserts here are all very good as they are kept relatively light; just that little bit more 'air ' then creamy heaviness and none are too sweet which is nice.
