Nous avons passé une nuit au Château de Vault-de-Lugny. Probablement l’une des plus paisibles et luxueuses. Après l’entrée dans un magnifique château fort aux fortifications d’époque et l’accueil d’un personnel plus qu’aimable, nous découvrons de somptueuses chambres. Rideaux en velours, magnifiques tableaux, lit à baldaquin et j’en passe. Un silence quasi religieux règne dans le parc du château où l’on n’entend que le bruit des animaux (oies et paons en liberté . We enjoyed the restaurant while guests at the hotel. The weather was nice, so we were able to enjoy dinner outside. I really enjoyed each course, with highlights being the foie gras creme brulée (included with the amuse bouche) and the beef. They had a...really nice fixed menu but we opted to go a la carte. My friend and I each had the foie gras to start, and then I had the beef (which also had a little foie gras and she had the John Dory. Both were good, but the beef was the real winner. Our server was attentive and very friendly. The Michelin star is well-deserved.

we know that the taste of each person is different and so is the appreciation of a restaurant. the amuses were floating, the fish was full of bones and that was filled with tendons. the cheese was ok and the chef apologised, but they expect more when they eat in such a restaurant.

Because of the lovely weather, dinner was served on the restaurant patio. It was a beautiful night and an equally beautiful meal. The food was delicious and the attention to detail was clear. The service was impeccable! Highly recommended!
