I really liked this place. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because I think their food is bland. Not everything, but most. Their rice has absolutely no flavor. I did, however, like the shrimp in garlic sauce. The service was good. We sat at the bar, and the young lady who took care of us was very nice, attentive, and made a mean sangria! I would also like to say in all fairness to the review that the place was empty, so I really can't tell if we would have had the same kind of service. I would like to think so. Welcome to the Sh*teau Madrid Cafe. We arrived for dinner and were seated promptly at a table in the bar area. The area wasn't very busy and there were three servers. We ordered an appetizer and two entrees. The appetizer came out promptly, and one of the dinner entrees came out, but the other one was wrong. The server said she would correct the error. We waited for over 20 minutes, she never returned and we saw her leave the restaurant. The other servers were more interested in entertaining the group of two very loud men sitting behind us than caring to us. In the end, we didn't get the other dinner entree, my boyfriend left hungry and went home so I can make my boyfriend a BLT sandwich.
I visited with family for a birthday. We've been here before but the quality of the food was not good, especially for portugués food. The portugués steak was chewing and not a good piece of meat. The garlic shrimp was not tasty. It's a shame considering so many other options we have to go to eat. The service was excellent and a good clean atmosphere.
Have been coming here for many years and often go for celebrations. We have even had a couple family parties in the back room. The food is always delicious and the staff is pleasant and welcoming. Good atmosphere and good service. Food could use some seasoning. Especially, their rice. Great place to have drinks. Plenty of parking. Vegetarian options: They have some vegetarian menu items. Small selection. Kid-friendliness: In my opinion, this is not a kid-friendly place.
Shared a Paella for one person, definitely a great option so you can still fit dessert! Had a Stella on tap, Creme brûlée, tiramisu, and two espressos. All shared! There is a bar side where we sat, and a dine in area with the white linens.
Great place Parking: Very busy restaurant, parking can be a challenge Kid-friendliness: Not so much for kids, bar present. Wheelchair accessibility: Very accessible no problems getting in the restaurant.
