The second visit was on 6/10/23. We skipped the appetizer and both ordered the half rack of ribs and chicken tenders. I think Cheddar's has the best chicken tenders and I enjoyed their ribs more than Outback's. The only downside was the server seemed a bit out of it, but she was still nice and the service was not slow. The food is consistently great, but the service can be hit or miss. I am thinking about getting a family bundle for takeout in the future. Overall, the food is consistently good but the service can be a letdown. Mixed feelings about this restaurant. On the positive side. Love the Painkiller drinks, Coconut Shrimp are fantastic and all of the food, except our appetizer (Cheese Curds) was great. Sadly they cut the coconut shrimp from the menu, our server, Brooke, was awesome and even checked with the kitchen to get us the coconut shrimp made even though they were off menu. Although Brooke was attentive, the overall wait time at this restaurant was atrocious, 20 min to sit, 10 min before drink order was taken, 30 min before appetizer had arrived, had to ask multiple times after the Painkiller (apparently it was made and then taken by another table) and then another 10-15 min before food arrived. The restaurant claiming to serve homemade food was disappointingly salty, and nothing tasted fresh. The corn on the cob was clearly from a can. I won't be returning. The honey croissant was the only enjoyable part of the meal. Our server was either forgetful or didn't care about his job. It was obvious he had experience but still provided poor service.
I live this restaurant for its diverse menu, large portions excellent low prices. I was sad when the location in Brandon, FL closed. But now that I'm in St Pete I eat there or pick up regularly. We adore Cheddars! The home-style cooking is fresh and flavorful. The menu is packed with entrees that are made from scratch every day. I had the most delicious chicken fingers, while my friend enjoyed the chicken fried steak. Everything was fantastic! I still can't stop thinking about those onion rings.
Food was great, however, server checking back, even asking if we wanted dessert, was non-existent. We had to ask others for refill on waters and desserts. The dinner salad came after the main course was served. Mark is not one I would recommend for providing the service we've come to expect at Cheddars.
This place exceeded my expectations. The ribs were falling off the bones, the painkiller drink was great and the server was attentive. She made decaf just for my friend. We split the full rack and it was more than enough. The croissants are to die for. We had such a great time. We will be back.
One of my father's favorite places. We went recently and I had the full rack of ribs. The portion was bigger than I anticipated and they were cooked perfectly. I definitely went home full and happy Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Took my mom here to celebrate her last dose of radiation. She had the sirloin and was very pleased with the food and the server. I had the combination. It put a bigger smile on her face.
