Having had a thoroughly good meal here before, we returned with friends last night only to be disappointed. We were there about 6ish but were assured the kitchen was open. The bar only had a few customers, mainly watching the rugby. On the positive side, one of us had the beef cannelloni, which was excellent. However, 3 of us opted for the jumbo cod chips and cannot say the same. The first plate out looked excellent, but on both the second and third plates, the batter on the fish was not cooked through, and the fish in those places was only tepid.
