Chennai Dosa more a fast food restaurant than a full service place! We went for lunch on Saturday afternoon. The place was 70% capacity, but we were seated immediately. The staff took our food order. 1. Paneer Tikka Masala rice 2. Cheese dosa 3. Chennai Thali 1 came in 20 minutes, 3 came in 30 minutes, but 2 took 40 minutes and 3 reminders to the staff to arrive. 1 2 were good , but the idli and Uttapam in 3 were partially uncooked. The staff didn’t bother to ask for anything during the whole period. When asked for the check, we were asked to come to the main counter to review the items ordered and pay. Is this a full service restaurant or a fast food place pretending to be a restaurant? And...
Food sucked big time. Dosa was cold. It was supposed to be spicy with green chillies but they put green pepper and it was not spicy at all. Having stomach issues since eating here. We saw bugs on the ceiling by the kitchen. Waiter didn't check on us and we had to wave him down to get additional items. Never going back!!!! Great food. Plenty on the menu to choose from, and they pay a lot of attention to your needs if you want some changes. They don't make it spicy, so I would request it if that's what you like. I love the food at Chennai Dosa. It's my favorite place to go and eat. The service with Sonny and Mike is great. It's like family when I go there. I've tried other places in Hicksville but Chennai Dosa is the best and I wouldn't want to go anywhere else but there. Absolutely the best.

Delicious food. It doesn't matter what you order, everything is so good. All vegetarian options. Prices you can't beat with how expensive everything is now. Less than $10 a plate. I requested a spicy tomato soup and it was so delicious!

Wonderful work ethic by the employees especially Mr. Adhimoolam and Sunny..! Food is delicious as always..! Would recommend everyone to taste the Indian spices at Chennai Dosa.. keep it up.
