My eldest daughter is moving into her first house this summer and it 's a 10 minute walk from this superb pub. My first visit, as parents who love a pint in a pub, it 's all a part of parental responsibility to check out the pubs near to where your daughter will be living!! Glad to say, this is a perfect community pub which is warm and inviting. Great too, to see Bass bitter on tap. I might be 'round at my daughter 's new home ' more often than I planned.
Right up there with the best that Chesterfield has to offer. A fine and constantly changing selection of beers. A lively and friendly atmosphere. Great pizzas and dirty fries on Thursday to Saturday evenings. What's not to like?
As always a fantastic selection of real ales. 12 on today including 5 from the in-house brewery. 5 thirds for £5 is a great deal to try a bit of everything! To add, very dog friendly with treats and water bowls available
Large group visited for the rugby. Great atmosphere, open stove, well positioned TV screens. Good selection of beer, pizza and little to breadlike for my taste but excellent toppings, marvellous chicken wings. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Vast very friendly ,I even accidentally knocked over my drink and they promptly re filled it free of charge, the food was lovely . Would highly recommend a visit.
Really great range of fine beer, excellent welcome and helpful service. Not busy when we dropped in after lunch on a Wednesday.but still a good friendly feeling.
If you don't drink real ale, be prepared to spend a lot of money. They charged me £8.80 for a vodka orange (Smirnoff).
