It's not the fantastic deli it used to be. I've been a customer for the past 40 years, and Dominic and Sal always had the best, all homemade. I went there today to get their signature potato salad, but it was nothing like before. I couldn't even eat it. They really should have shared the old recipes with the new owners. Sadly, I have no reason to go back now. It's truly disappointing.
I miss the previous owners and hope the new management can improve things quickly. Right now, I don't think I'll be returning, as I found hair in my sandwich. This used to be my favorite spot. I understand they are new, and I'm hoping these issues are just temporary.
If you are looking for an authentic Italian deli just keep on driving 4 more minutes and go to Pastosa. This market is terrible they change owners a little while ago, and that’s it! it’s not owned by an Italian family anymore. And there is not quality at all.

The staff is extremely friendly, the restaurant is spotless, and the selection of food is fantastic.
Chestnut Hill is my corner store. Prices are reasonable and the produce are fresh.
