Cheval Blanc is the ultimate classic French fine dining experience in Switzerland. We came here to celebrate my birthday while in Switzerland looking for a 3 Michelin stars experience. Located in the historical Grand Hotel Les Trois Rios. The riverside setting is charming and romantic. You start by a welcome drink at the terrace looking at the Rhine greeted by suited , polite and professional staff. The head chef Peter Knogl came to say hi before we moved to the main dining room and service started. The cuisine deserves its 3 stars, dishes of great finesse and complexity in the design for flavors marrying marvelously. On the other hand, the service is definitely not up to par (1 hour of waiting before the 1st course, then it goes on at a speed until the plate is removed when it is not finished.... and this despite many servers (no lack of staff in service that evening . One of them (and I specify well it was the only one acted in a discriminatory way with his own foreign rank colleagues. A shame on his part, when he had already demonstrated a sufficiency to describe to us or not what he served us before his actions. Außergewöhnlicher Ort, kamen wir vor allem aus der französischsprachigen Schweiz, um diese Einrichtung zu entdecken. An große Stars Restaurants gewöhnt, wurden wir von der Umgebung, dem Service und den Gerichten, die uns außerhalb unseres Besuchs letzte Woche angeboten wurden, begeistert. Das Menü ist authentisch, raffiniert und einzigartig. Der Service ist hoch, das Personal ist sehr lächelnd und der Preis ist sehr erschwinglich. Ich empfehle es sehr!
