My husband arrived early to let Babeth know there would be two people less in our party of and got told to get out and wait outside. When the...rest of us arrived, we were not sure why he had been made to wait outside, the restaurant was half empty! Service was very slow and we had almost finished our wine and drinks by the time the food order was taken…so had to order more drinks (we weren’t complaining, we were on holiday When it arrived, the food was delicious and as we finished a jovial lunch and were preparing to go, ouch, we had to endure the most bizarre performance of our holiday…. the decoration does not make on the terrible experience they will have on this place. with the best intentions to have a birthday dinner for my partner and not even came through the doorstep. When I asked about the reservation under my partner name, she started screaming at me and told me that she had canceled our booking because I wasn't serious I was trying to explain myself again, provided that it had to have been some false communication, but no, she cut me off and started screaming at me even more aggressive and I couldn't even get a word. she is really totally crazy, there is no argumentation with her if they have a problem and there is no level of respect or professionalism in service...

I feel sorry for any staff who have to work here, in fact, I even feel sorry for Madame Babeth because she is in fact the most cruel and horrible woman I have ever seen working in a restaurant. She will be the next Disney...movie Villain. Never have I been yelled at so much for accidentally removing my credit card from the machine several seconds too early. The meal is quite good, but if you leave this place with your life, it's a good day. (Even my French friend said wow, even for a french lady she is horrible). on Wednesday they are converted to practically abandoned restaurant to book a table for lunch on the weekend. although almost empty of customers, had to wait until old to talk to someone. the owner babeth finally finished their conversation with a guy and said: "oui madame". I asked politely in pretty good French to reserve a table for two for lunch on Friday. she gave me a dirty look and said in English: "They call me back. I have no time to deal with them now’ and I have dismissed with a wave and handed over a visit card to me. with hindsight I should have broken it up, which an rude and ignorant women will not go back!
skiing, skiing on the slope between avoriaz and chatel, this was an unforgettable experience and find it! the environment is like a Christmas scratch in a small woodchalet, full of surprises. the food was copieux', as the French would say generously. in portion and filling. we had a great goat cheese salad and French wobble soup, and finished with the caffe gourmand', which is very recommended. many wee, fun talk, entertainment babeth and great eating what else they want to do to visit this. babeth is as unique as her restaurant unusual and special!
Kitch deco, quirky and intimate, the restaurant feels like a traditional mountain restaurant, the food is excellent. However you need to get into the ambiance of the owner and her character. The diva of the mountain is a go-to if you want to have an...atypical experience. Downside, it took forever to get a waiter to get a menu, a drink, the complete first round of drink. Service is not the one from a city, but it give the whole experience a different vibe in a way. Wish the restaurant the best!
We have just returned from the best lunch/afternoon ever anyone that doesn’t get this wonderful lady needs to go elsewhere! A totally fantastic lunch one of the best ever! Go with an open mind
