I read the reviews of the other Cassoulet restaurants here and thought this sounded good. And it was! We had the Cassoulet menu €25 each for the salad starter, shared Cassoulet and dessert. There are other options on the menu. The waiter served the cassoulet out and explained what was in it. Now we've had Cassoulet before but this was something else, it tasted amazing. The chef David came over and explained the lengthy process involved in preparing the dish and clearly takes pride in the flavours. I thoroughly recommend you try here first for the local dish. We will return.
we went to this restaurant because of the many cheap reviews of the cassoulet served here. we both had the Fois-Gras-Starter who was good. I had the cassoulet and the reviews were right, it was one of the best I had eaten excellent. taste for the broth, boiled properly and full of deer, pork and sausage! my wife chose the duck breast, it was ok, but not great and needed a soak to bring her to life.
This was an amazing restaurant, the chef wonders around the restaurant which is very nice. My duck was cooked perfectly and the setting is lovely.Fair warning someone told me that the chef does not like being told the duck is undercooked for your liking. I like my duck rare, but I guess maybe choose medium if you not into very rare duck.All in all it was a very pleasant dinning experience.
This little restaurant is situated a very short walk up hill from the Canal. It doesn't look to flash from the street but push on and you would have to be very fussy not to enjoy the food, the atmosphere and the staff. It was...highly recommended to us and we highly recommend it to you as so many travelers have. Great menu, great wine selection and chatty staff.

we did not book in advance and only managed to get a table. I felt that we were very happy to get it, like all people after we were rejected. the food was fabulous. we shared the cassoulet. as enough for two and. it was the best we had tried (from 4 on our travels). small and bijou. authentic French atmosphere we loved.
Me and my wife stopped in Castelnaudary for lunch and found this nice restaurant through tripadvisor. The lunch was very good and the service very friendly. I had fish which was superbly cooked. If we come back we would very much like to have dinner there and try the famous cassoulet.
overnight in castelnaudary to eat this dish in his hometown. chez david was recommended. even if we have found the price for 30e each, we will love it and will certainly recommend its version. we got sporks as our utensil, very amusing and clever!
We visited this place based on reviews and certainly got what we expected and more. The cassoulet was perfect and a very generous portion. Everything else was fantastic too and our waiter very helpful and pleasant.

Our group of 6 enjoyed a beautiful meal, made even better by having David personally engaging with all the patrons. A very interesting man and a wonderful Chef. The staff were very friendly and efficient
My husband was happy to have such great cassoulet and all our other choices were very interesting. Enjoyable family meal.
