Fred's place is a sure dinner choice. We go there whenever skiing in Valloire. The place is cosy and busy with fellow skiers. Service is friendly and effective. The food is good and solid - try the cheese fondue, it will leave you full! The Côte de Beuf with marrow bone (os a moelle) is also a manly choice after a long day at the slopes - it is only served for two at time, though. I am sure the wine list will hold something at your liking. It is advisable to make reservations.
We booked Chez Fred for dinner on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day having eaten here in the past. We were expecting a set menu for the festive occasion similar to that we had on New Year's Eve 2015/16 but were surprised that they were offering a normal menu service. Friendly professional staff, superb selection of exceptional food, slightly on the expensive side for the village, highly recommend when in Valloire.
The title says it all, the food is very good but it seems customers shouldn't come in. Always sad to see good cooking embarrassed by poor service.Should also warn the menu barely ever changes, not even once a year. Strange for a restaurant which boasts its cooking skills... Could do so much better!
A discovery for us. The staff is available and welcoming. The apartment is spacious (6 people). Two bedrooms with 1 double bed and one with two beds plus the sofa (not tested in bed mode). Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
This is year 7 for us! Just love it. A family run business. Fred cooks! Charming & efficent service. A little pricy.. but the kidneys and Sweetbreads are to die for! Delightful salads too.
Apartment for rent for the week. Very functional, well located... Swimming pool with view... Very correct price for renting this comfort in July
Chez Fred surprised us positivity by offering really good and original meals (both lunch and dinner) for fair prices. Recommended in Valloire!
