We decided to attend a small Basque dance festival interpreted by the young people of Ascain... we discovered a super small restaurant bar that gives sure the Fronton Chez Gildas ... Friendly welcome and good small dishes with fresh products: Serrano's dishes a delight, Thon Rouge Albacore fresh and toast as it should be accompanied by a piperade of the lord and Basque cake to the cherry for madam, and rice with caramel but salted milk for me ... a pleasant moment in a pleasant setting... with the youth show to finish the evening in apotheosis... to come back for further tasting...
We came with my companion on Monday night, we enjoyed the entrance to dessert and the dish. In a small typical Basque restaurant, with an impressive cook who provides the kitchen alone while the restaurant was almost full, the wait didn’t even get felt. I recommend.
Summary: not recommended. Good: kids chicken nuggets are good. Clean plates from hungry kids. Bad: poor, slow service 90mins till food when not busy. Ugly:Flies,, lots of them. 5 pieces of bread for 8 people with distain when asked to refill
Went here for a night out on holiday. The service was not great but food very nice and excellent value for money. Restaurant seems popular with the locals. Lovely setting, sitting outside right behind the town fronteron. We would return.

Very friendly and helpful welcome. I was received despite the world already there. An eco formula, in addition to dishes in the map, very good idea. The products are fresh and the meat is very tender.
