As a Swiss cook who participated in the culinary school in Paris, I hunted a few French convenience foods and went to Chez Jack for all great reviews. The decor is sweet and cozy, you hear cheerful French music in the background. You start... with baguette and butter... the baguette is supermarket quality, but okay. I had ordered Coquille St. Jacques, who is a very well-known French court: if you google, you will see that this is a scallop dish. The name itself is the name of a scallop. To my big surprise I got a scallop shell, but no scallop. Instead, the bowl was filled with small shrimp and surimi (like crab I absolutely hate) in a sauce, baked with cheese.
