If it is the traditional way of life in Bretagne you are looking for then look no further than this place!we have visited many places in Brittany for lunchtime meals and this is by far the best we have encountered.the welcome is warm and inviting and if your french is minimal then you will helped along the way by either Virginie or Jerome, but do try your best!the traditional values of this area are well kept and there is always a good sense of community in the bar/restaurant.do not expect a menu here of ten different dishes, the fare is traditional so therefore they serve a true "plat du jour". it is always a good 5 course hearty affair with a choice of wine, cider or water all of which are...
We spent two great evenings Chez Jerome et Virginie this winter : one was with bikers Roger, Linda and their friends for a traditional British Christmas dinner. Another night, a week later, we had a French traditional Christmas dinner with several friends from Kerpert. Both nights were a real treat. The food was very good, the atmosphere was friendly and welcoming and is was great value with a bottle of wine included in the price for the French evening. Thank you Jerome for your special Christmas English treats, Virginie and her helper for making us all so welcome. Merci Jerome et Virginie et Bonne Année 2015 !!!!!
devant passer une nuit au centre de loisirs "à un fil" à Trémargat le lundi 24 avril soir, nous sommes arrivés en fin de matinée dans le village. Le restaurant était fermé. Profitant de l'ouverture du rideau, nous avons demandé au patron s'il était possible de dîner le soir pour 2 personnes. Il nous a dit qu'il était seul et qu'il fallait qu'on soit là pour 19h00. Nous n'étions que tous les deux mais nous avons été très bien reçu, et le repas était copieux. Nous avons pu faire connaissance avec la patronne avant qu'elle parte pour son cours de harpe !! On essaiera de revenir dans d'autres circonstances.
We ate here twice on our recent holiday. Jerome and Virginie are both lovely, and the food is freshly made and really good. We had a choice of duck or chicken as our main course the first time, and fish and, especially for my husband,...liver the size of a steak and excellent apparently (he's French). The children loved the properly made chips, and the chocolate moose was absolutely delicious. The front is a bar and the restaurant is to the rear. Recommend eating here if you are in the area. You may need to ring to book.

Jerome and the staff (mainly family) were very friendly and the fish and chips were hearty with great home made chunky fries. This is not gourmet food, but lovely down-home cooking served with love and warmth. Drinking in the bar before dinner felt a bit like being in a French "Cheers" - everyone knew everyone and good natured banter going on.

On ne se lasse pas des soirées culinaires proposées chaque semaine ! La patronne, bretonne d'adoption, sait vous accueillir chaleureusement...ce qui n'est pas le cas dans dautres restaurants du Kreiz Breizh qu'il est préférable de passer sous silence...
Le chef est un ancien cuistot du Negresco à Cannes. Il fait tous ses plats et pâtisseries. Sa femme est très accueillante. Ambiance familiale et chaleureuse. Réservation préférable car bonne adresse rare dans ce secteur !
