We visited this restaurant for Sunday lunch for a change to our usual restaurant which is closed for refurbishment. The restaurant, which I would guess can seat about 70 diners, was fully booked. We were probably the only non locals in the restaurant. We booked for 12.30 pm and eventually got up from the table at 15.30pm. We opted for the 28.50 euro menu which comprised soup, entree, main course, cheese, and desert. The food was well presented and nicely served. We had wine (carafe) and coffees. excellent and very friendly welcome. beautifully decorated room with taste and without overload. I think I don't have enough words to evoke the quality of the dishes served: real foie gras, canard jam .... this restaurant deserves many stars. Run the overrated restaurants of the shepherdac and walk away in minutes, you will not regret it! accustomed to eating very often at the restaurant at lambert is certainly one of our best addresses.
We were looking forward to eating here having driven quite a distance to get to this restaurant but arrived before 1.30. Plenty of tables available and we were refused to be served as we were too late for lunch! So the French eat at 12.00pm and anything after that is not seen as acceptable.We are also very rudely spoken too and the attitude of the staff was appalling. Don't bother going!
It is always a pleasure to have lunch with Jean-Claude lambert. and with the menu (soupe entry flat dessert), you can go there very regularly!

If you like garlic, Sarladaise potatoes, porcini mushrooms and sweetbreads, this house is worth the detour. I recommend without reservation.
