Great family owned restaurant. This place has fed four generations of my family. It is a Sherbrooke tradition. Any local who moves away stops by for a hotdog and a fries on the way back into town. Hamburgers are ground sirloin. Potatoes are delivered fresh twice a week, peeled and served within a few days. How do I know? I used to haul the bags up and down the stairs. If you want good fast food, with quality ingredients, and impeccable service, this is the place to go. You CANNOT come to Sherbrooke without going to Louis'. Louis' IS Sherbrooke.
Can't beat the poutine or the hot dogs, especially a tout garni. Service is always top notch, even when the location is crazy busy (and it often is). Love the focus on local ingredients and reducing the use of plastics in their takeout packages. Parking is less than ideal, but that's partly the lack of street parking in the neighborhood. On site parking is fine, if a bit tight.
There are 3 Louis in Sherbrooke and they are all on King Street. Most people are just happy to be eating the best poutine in touw and with its locations you can get your poutine fix all over Sherbrooke. My favorite here is the regular poutine, the fries seems to be homemade and the sauce is just great. The toasted hot dogs are also delish.
The portion sizes may have been reduced, but this is still the top spot for delicious and affordable poutine, hot dogs, smoked meat, burgers, and club sandwiches. I decided to try this restaurant based on the great reviews, but I found it to be just average. The poutine was decent, but definitely not the best in Sherbrooke as they claim. Also, the prices were a bit high.
I was told it's the place you oughta try. There was a big line up, seems like the greatest in town. I liked the place. The good was good (not the best but good though). Worth to try
Had a super great experience. The queue was long but moved very fast. The service was great and fast. Had a cheeseburger, classic poutine and hot-dogs. Will definitely come back!

The poutine fries are delicious, however, without an English menu, I was unsure of what to order. I will make an effort to learn French and return to try again.
