First of all the location: like most restaurants located on the old port, the terraces are on the street, so it's noisy. friendly welcome. the kitchen: the trio of mediterranean fish is frankly disappointing (very salty ruget, the other two insipid fish as well as the vegetables, all bathing in a sauce/cream without taste). This was our first visit to Marseille, a fabulous city. We decided to treat ourselves to a bouillabaisse experience and did our research carefully - Chez Madie came highly recommended. However, we found the service poor and incomplete and the bouillabaisse over priced for the quality of the food.yes to Marseille but avoid Chez Madie as it is trading on past reputation.

pleasant setting. good fish soup. bouillabaisse ......correspond not to a bouillabaisse. Maybe the chef should look at the artichoke recipe at the barigoule. the artichokes were not small purple but the big, too cooked, flat insipid. What a shame tourists think it manages Provencal.
We loved Marseille but not this restaurant. Service was lacklustre, the famous bouillabaisse was not what we got but the price was. I fear they are living off a past reputation, so I would avoid it - there are so many better to eat in.
very well received very well served, extra family meals. It's been two years since I hadn't gone to my home. It has been a real pleasure and madi is always so adorable and helpful. meals and wines have been tip top !!
high prices, staff and average rates. No more to add. Sink soup 45€ per head. A little too much. There are better restaurants in the panier district.
