Driving from Obernai to Metz on a very rainy Monday morning, we suspected our culinary journey would be placed on hold. Many restaurants are closed on Monday, and rural farm land produces fine products, but not many restaurants. With the help of the Michelin Guide, we took a stab at stopping at this fine restaurant without a reservation.In a village of less than 200 people, perhaps fewer than on our street at home, this delightful oasis is quite unexpected. looking for an affordable taste of French gastronomy being a big party - 4 adults, 5 children age 2-12, we decided to get lunch at Chez Michele. we stayed at nearby Center Parc and booked lunch online the night before.to start with, the restaurant is tastefully decorated and the staff is super professional. we don't speak French (staff is not speaking english but is very helpful). we decided on 2 types of menu - 25 and 40 Euro each which are super great value in my opinion. kids menu was also available at ~15 Euro. this contributed to the feeling that families with children are welcome even in this gourmet restaurant, as we experienced by the staff itself.following a milk allergy issue, a su...

We book by chance our dinner here after a week by boat on the canal We arrive there as a tourist, dressed as What is not surprised to discover this magnificent place, where we are welcomed by charming and very professional waitresses Our ravishing is at its height when we are served. As a proud French restaurant, naturally there were no menus in English. We got very limited assistance from one of the waitresses. The other didn't know English at all. It was a mid-week evening and there was only one other couple at the restaurant. The menu had several "menu" options which we couldn't really understand. The food - Well, the first courses were absolutely fabulous. The main courses were not great. Steak which was ok and a fish which wasn't prepared correctly. The deserts were mediocre at best. House wine was very nice and not expensive. Nice but not thrilling.

First experience of a starred restaurant, this magical place has amazed us at all points of view. We have opted for the excellent and quite affordable menu of the market, which changes every day according to the seasons, products worked and ideas of the chef. Lottery mugs in the entrance and accompaniment to the coffee of mignardises that have feasted on us. Amazing, incredible! Thank you for this great experience

Otherwise, excellent service, kindness, good quality products, local when possible. Taste is there. Only flat: not necessarily a place to advise vegetarians astonishing to offer fish to people who are known to not eat animals. But overall delighted!

the frame is large, the kitchen corresponds to the price, only flat the sevice. Wait 3/4 hours between the two entries, it seems a little long. otherwise staff are attentive and friendly
