Unfortunately, my recent visit was quite disappointing. The girl working there was very rude. When I asked if the dessert was vegetarian-friendly—specifically if there was lard in the crust—she seemed to treat me like I was crazy for even asking. She didn’t even know what lard is! When I requested her to check with someone who actually bakes, she returned with a vague answer about the crust containing milk, sugar, and dough, which left me confused. My family and I have bought many mocha cakes for years, even before they had this Clearview location. Unfortunately, the cakes are a hit and miss. I never wrote a review to complain even when they made my order incorrectly and act like it was an inconvenience to fix it. However, my most recent purchase is what prompted this review. The cake was not fresh. As a matter of fact, it had small specs of mold. The top layer was dry while the bottom and middle layer was sorta wet. I wonder how long the cake has been sitting in the display shelf
So, decided to eat here while my truck was being worked on. I ordered a poboy, but definitely not what they said it was. I asked for no pickle carrots and no cucumber, it was suppose to come with cilantro and jalapeños. Does this look like it has cilantro or jalapeños, unfortunately I was too tired to complain. Been a long day, this was disappointing. Honestly what's the point of the menu, if the staff doesn't follow it. Make sure to double check on your order as they put it in. So much for the 20% tip. The regret I feel.
Incredible! I’ve visited Nola multiple times and typically end up at Café du Monde since I'm usually with new friends. However, I decided to wake up early before anyone else to explore some new spots. This little café was a fantastic find! The woman at the counter was very courteous and took the time to answer all of my questions without making me feel rushed. I was surprised by the French pastries and Vietnamese food combo being offered. However, I stopped in for 1st time being in the area and very pleased. Crawfish and meat pies were flaky outside and yummy inside. You can even purchase the crawfish or meat pies to go frozen and bake at home. I enjoyed the fruit tart and personal size king cake was delicious too. King cakes (cinnamon or filled) sizes being offered were personal, small, medium, and large. The personal size was perfect for my family of 4 dinner dessert.
Got a sweet tooth that needs fixin? Took too much insulin and now your blood glucose is low? Chez Pierre has your cure. Lemon tarts, sweet croissants, Chantilly cake, and so much more. All made the way you like, sliced up nice an big. Get you some coffee to go with, you know you'll enjoy. We did.
They are so yummy and We wouldn’t miss their pastries whenever we are in the area or when our family comes to visit us they would shower us with the goodies from Chez Piere French pastries. I even got my birthday cake from my niece and nephew. Keep us fed please. Thank you Chez Piere Bakery
Very disappointed in the pastries we got here. Canoli wrapper was soggy and the ricotta filling was not sweet at all. Tasted like it came straight out of the container. The almond bark was very dry and extremely chewy. I'll definitely skip this place in the future. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
It’s nice, but definitely on the pricey side. I understand it has a long history and is a specialty shop. I do enjoy it, but it’s more of an occasional visit for us. I prefer making my own desserts or just picking something up from a store.
