We want to like this restaurant more than we do. The food is quite good. The half pizza and half salad combination plate is more than ample and both are tasty. However, a couple of things put a damper on what might have been a very enjoyable experience. First, we went to this restaurant specifically because it was air conditioned and the temperature in Orange that night was very hot. The restaurant's air conditioning system worked fine, but the waitress continued to leave the door open to serve outside guests. This completely negated the cooling effect. Second, the waitress was way, way over-worked. She was serving all the patrons without any other help. This resulted in very slow service......
Arrived around 1:30pm and didn't get a menu until about 2, we ordered shortly after and waited 45 minutes for a salad and about 1 hr 20 for pizza after that. It was not worth the wait. The place was not even busy, maybe 3 other tables with couples there. All of these customers were not impressed about waiting for their food either, 1 couple was got up and walked away.
We had an excellent meal when we stayed in June. Food was great as was the service. We sat outside as we had a dog with us. Staff were very friendly and even came after us when my father had let his hat. I would definitely recommend you try it out and the strawberry panna cotta was wonderful. if they are in an American hurry, don't disturb. this excellent family-run restaurant is suitable for them to enjoy every swallow of wine, every straw of eating and every bite of dessert. many local people, very reasonable prices. we loved it so much that we came back a second night. the chef (and owner) khadija is an exquisite host! Kadija is fun smiling and prepares the best Pizzas in town. If you are in the mood for some other dishes, you'll be surprised by the excellent taste and portions.You'll have a great time among local people who go there very regularly and the lively atmosphere she has created for her restaurant.
My husband and I had the chicken liver salad which was absolutely gorgeous and made a nice change and then we had steak with Roquefort sauce with fried potatoes which was really really tasty. A lovely lovely meal.
This is by far the best pizza place in Orange. The half salad / half pizza is an excellent choice for lunch. Dining there is excellent, but this is the pizza place where the locals go for their take-away.
It took them ONE HOUR to bring our very simple salads. Then it took another 40 MUNUTES for our 2 pizzas to arrive. The food is ordinary at best and the service is awful. Avoid it! Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
