A lovely little lunch time spot, where you are greeted like an old friend - Ok a long standing friend, I'ms sensitive about my age!One Friday lunch time my partner and I arrived, spotted and greeted a few people we know, greeted like an old friend by the main man, shown to a table in the back (for regulars, the non regulars are shown to the "posh" side room!). On the menu soup, followed by crudites or "pig in blanket", followed by sausage and chips or rouget and steamed potatoes, followed by ...... Didn't get to the fourth or fifth course!You can go a la carte, but when the daily menu has such great choice and offers great value for money, what is there not...
We arrived at Chez Sylvie at 12:45 on a Wednesday in August and were surprise to see how busy the restaurant was. There wasn't enough room to sit out party of 6 outside so we sat inside which was also fairly busy. Menu du jour was €14 for three courses; good value for money and very enjoyable. The foie gras was delicious, confit du canard was very good, and the goats' cheese salad was very tasty. One thing I did find be odd was that the sardine dish was basically a choice of different tins of sardines. They were served in the chosen tin which was taken off once the plate was put down. Book a table on the terrace and enjoy a lazy lunchtime in Aquitaine! This relaxed restaurant continues to be THE PLACE where locals and visitors return for their special lunches. The value is exceptional, and the advice is to go for the daily "special".

This was the nearest café to our Gite - and we had lunch there a couple of times. Typical French lunch menu, well cooked, well presented, and very friendly staff.
Je suis venue déjeuner avec des amis lors de notre séjour aux Gués Rivères. Super service, cuisine goûteuse et une bonne petite bouteille, que demander de plus ?
Très bon, tout est fait maison. Très bon rapport qualité prix. On y mange comme à la maison. Profitez l'été de la terrasse sous les platanes.
Cuisine de qualité. Très bonnes salades copieuses. Le Burger au foie gras frais et pavé de boeuf est excellent. Bonne adresse.
