So, after a nice long walk in the Bois de Vincennes, my dog leads the way back home. On a quiet street, just off the Bois and southeast of the Velodrome, is my local Restaurant, Les Agapes. The dog immediately heads inside to be greeted by the friendly staff and locals. I take my regular table. My dog gets a bowl of water and I get a pitcher of red wine. Ah yes, life is good.The atmosphere is bright and lively with an American Jazz theme. I rarely consult the menu, as the daily specials and recommendations are always great and reasonably priced.I can say that the food is always well prepared, and it is always great value for your money.The selection is varied. Pizzas are always a good choice...
I started coming sometimes at Les Agapes a few years ago. Then Akli arrived. A musician, a writer, an activist, 1000 lifes to tell. I became a regular and spent a few evening listening to Akli. The best pizza in Charenton, simply. Just next to the Bois de Vincennes, a 5-minute walk from the subway, warm welcome and authentic pizzas. They also make the pizza to take away, a good plan.
