We took the grandkids here on a recent Saturday night. For some reason the spot was not busy at all, but it did start to fill up by the time we left. Our server did a real good job. The kids ordered their usual Fettucine Alfredo which is a Chianti staple and is very tasty.My wife and I wanted something off the menu, so all we did was tell the waiter the ingredients that we wanted the chef to use with our pasta, and they brought it to us with no questions asked, and no mistakes. The result was very good. One comment....I do not like the texture of the chicken that is used here with the pasta. It tastes like it is some sort of packaged frozen processed food.
This is the list I made while at the restaurant because I was so frustrated:- Water glass smelled like bleach- Walmart paper napkins- Bread was sawdust- Italian salad was terrible - dressing tasted like Kraft and who puts boiled egg on an Italian salad, said anchovies literally a sliver of anchovies. Didn't even finish it. - Vinyl table clothes - c'mon!- Noodles - totally overcooked and water- Veal very poor quality- Some kind of strange bologna like pork on the Veal Parm - didn't say anything about this on the menu. - Red sauce terrible.I couldn't get out of this place fast enough.
Hands down the WORST Italian food I've eaten in Calgary. I ordered the Chicken Parmesan and Bruschetta. The chicken was horribly overcooked and chewy and tough, as though it had been sitting under a heat lamp for 5 hours. The Burschetta was flavourless and served with some sort of weird corn-bread sort of thing, instead of on a proper baguette.When I complained, the restaurant refused to do anything to compensate me, either in the form of exchange or refund.Absolutely one of the most horrible dining experiences I have ever had.
Four of us just had dinner at this restaurant. The service was OK, but the food was really underwhelming. Seriously, I would say what once was a good place to eat has become the "Denny's" of Italian food in Calgary. Don't waste your money here. Many other great Italian restaurants in the city.

The mussels were tastyin white wine andgarlic sauce but were so small it didnt fill you up. The calimari was great. Not chewy or rubbery. Service was great. Very freindly blonde girl with tats was great. free focascia bread was nice touch
I ordered salmon and my wife ordered pasta . Service was slow . My wife could not eat her pasta , it was terribly bad whereas my salmon was below average . Not recommended .
I have never eaten in at the restaurant(have orders take out from here several times) but they have really good Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo and if you heat

I came here with my fiancé for their $9.99 pasta special, and the food was really goodOur server was very friendly and attentive.
We took a delivery order from Chianti a few days ago and were very pleasantly surprised.
