We made reservations for our 15th wedding anniversary and we were promptly greeted by a congratulations by the hostess and our waiter. Happy Anniversary was also printed on our menus, which was a nice touch. The food was excellent, from our perfectly cooked steak, which could almost be cut with a fork alone, to the amazing lobster bisque, one of the best we’ve ever had. They also had a nice wine list. The ambiance had a nice, but comfortable feel to it. There was soft music and a good restaurant buzz, but it was still quiet enough to have a nice conversation, which we appreciated. We greatly enjoyed ourselves and the food and would happily go back again.
Very expensive steak; came out overcooked. Wife's steak came out under cooked. Guess it balanced out. UGH! We are from the Philadelphia area. The crab cake was half filler and very herb filled. Not what I was expecting. The inside of the restaurant was very dark. Not the fault of the restaurant but at the table next to ours the parents kept taking flash pictures of the two adult kids with them about every minute. Of course in our direction. I was going to ask to be moved, but kept thinking they were done. I expected better for $340 for two.
Overpriced given the quality of the food. Feels a bit like a restaurant whose prices are inflated because they use to take Groupon $17 for some soggy fries,”; $7 for a side of chimichurri sauce for the steak?? . The food was underwhelming. I got the dry-aged tomahawk and I have a hard time believing that it was aged for 45 days given that it was super chewy.
Excellence food and excellent service by Joshua. The seasonal berry lemonade was delicious and the Chilean sea bass was superb. My husband said the steak was the best he ever had. We were surprised with a chocolate lava cake to celebrate our special occasion. We will definitely dine here again.
