my friends and I decided to go family style and share some of their veganized diner classics. we went with their rueben rolls, country fried steak (from sincean,) cinnamon rolls, and of course a beside salad, because this time I was sure I had my green. first, the rollers were our absolute favorit. the light saltiness of the mock meat was fantastic in the vegan fried roll. the sauce with which it came was also fantastic and we thought it was the rest of our meal. concerning the other capitals, we thought the side potatoes and vegetables were better in the country fried steak. Let me start off by saying I have always wanted to try The Chicago Diner for about 7 years now. I didn’t even need a menu that’s how much Ive been anticipating on eating here. I promise you the Thai Chili Wings will be the best thing you ever tried in your life!! From the first bite to the last bite, I was completely speechless at how good fresh they were. Those wings were soooooo good my mouth is watering right now hust thinking about them haha! THATS A MUST every single time! For my entree, I got the Pancakes the Breakfast Bowl. They both were superb (the breakfast bowl being the better choice) quite fulfilling.
I like the variety of menu options. my eating was just okay- I had the reubs with kartoffels and gravy and was not blown away. also the icy Chai-Latte I had was missing in the Chai tea and tasted like milk with zimt. but I enjoyed the spinach diving. I would be interested to come back and try something else and one of the famous milkshakes
The vegan twist on classic American diner dishes at this restaurant is excellent. I loved the burger and Cuban sandwich dinners. I highly recommend ending your meal with one of their indulgently creamy shakes.
