Called last Sunday to make reservations for Thursday May 5th, we were told they weren 't taking reservations. Nevertheless, we went last night (May 5th). Went in, a server approached us, we inquired about a table, we were told that there was a private party, if we so chose, we could eat outside, there would be an hour and a half to two hour wait, but if we were not with the private party, we had to get out, now. That is verbatim how it was put to us. Get out, now . They should have the forsight to realize there are days *after* the private party. Days we won 't ever be there. Ever. Message received. We got out. And aren 't coming back.
The server was nice, but the food was a huge disappointment. The rice was good, but tasted like a minute rice you could make at home, and the portion of rice and beans they give you is like a spoonful. They put arugula salad in a Mexican burrito ? and the peppers were crunchy and overall, the dinner had little flavor. The wait time was long, and the restaurant and outdoor seating did not look or feel clean. Price was high for the food quality, when you could go up the street and pay the same thing at a different restaurant for better food. May be okay for a vegan/vegetarian option, but definitely not authentic Mexican food.
I went there last summer for my birthday and had an awful experience. The waitress was very rude and scolded my daughter. It was my birthday and it almost ruined my whole day. I tried to contact the owner to let them know and the waitress answered the phone and wouldn’t tell me when or how to get a hold of the owner. The food was good the service was awful. I killed three flys with my show before I even ate my meal. Not recommend by me !
we had dinner on the veranda. the fajitas and chimichangas were delicious. the next day we had many rests for lunch. a pitcher of margaritas was the perfect compliment, and there were jartitos for the non-trinker. the server were friendly and personal. Smiling and laughing are crowded. what a beautiful view of the flow through the navy yard park! a perfect dinner for two. I would recommend chicano’s Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Just got take out from here, and I never write reviews but this was so gross. “Carne Asada” was literally 90% fat, literally the grossest thing I’ve ever tasted and still so nauseous thinking about it. Out of two enchiladas I think I got one bite that was actual meat. They also charge $6 for a spoonful of rice and beans. Would rather starve than go back there honestly
We stopped by for lunch and found it a bit busy, with only one waitress on duty. Despite her hectic schedule, she was incredibly friendly, polite, and helpful. The food was excellent, and the margaritas were fantastic. We highly recommend this place to everyone!
I’m not one to leave a review but service was fine but the food wasn’t it. Chicken was beyond dry and waited over an hour. Three ingredients in the tacos and the cilantro was still missing…recommend making a trip out to Windsor instead for better Mexican
Quality is below par and food took more than 1h to arrive. Service was not great either, order with mistakes (wrong beer, wrong tacos etc). Much better restaurants just steps away so not worth it at al Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
