We stopped by for a quick meal while exploring the Freedom Trail during our vacation in downtown Boston. Our goal was to grab a fast bite so we could continue our day and this spot was perfect for that. They offer both large and small portions, which was great. The food was delicious and the serving size was just right. The price was reasonable too; I paid about $14 for the small portion, which was filling. Mediocre Meal with a Side of Plastic. I ordered a large with chicken and tofu. Chicken is exclusively thigh meat, evidently to save the company money. Tofu was cubed and appeared seasoned but there was no flavor. Rice was promisingly yellow, implying some curry flavor but it was bland. Everything served in plastic. You also pour the sauces into mini plastic containers. Hard to to imagine a less eco-friendly situation. Well I'm glad to have tried it and checked it off the list!
Service: There was no one at the counter, stayed there for good minute before someone came, same happened with other customers who came after 10-15 minutes.Food: Having had a lot of chicken and rice from other vendors, here are our observations- Quantity is amazing- Quality was ok, the chicken was bland, but their sauce are amazing, which makes up for it
Food is delicious, especially the meat! Service is also fast! The rice is however slightly disappointing. I wish it was slightly less wet. Overall, still largely tasty! Wow! I used to love this place, but I was really disappointed with my recent order. The rice was bland, and the chicken had no flavor either. I tried adding white sauce and hot sauce to improve it, but that didn't help at all. I used to prefer this place over Halal Guys, but not anymore. Food: 2/5.
Omg, I wish I'd stopped in earlier during my visit to Boston. Went at lunchtime. It was super busy but the food comes out quick. It's simple food done exceptionally. This location doesn't have much seating so timing everything.Vegetarian options: There's a tofu and veggies option
I absolutely stumbled upon a gem! The food was incredibly tasty—I just wish I had ordered a larger portion because I wanted more. I highly recommend trying the creamy garlic sauce. The hibiscus lemonade was fantastic as well! Food: 5/5
