We were passing through Belleville on our way to the cottage near Picton and found this little gem, of course, thanks to Yelp. We decided to order take out (online via their website) and took the food to enjoy at a local park. Our pickup order was ready a little bit past the promised time however they were super busy so totally understandable. I chose the chile relleño (battered/fried poblano pepper stuffed with fresh cheese, smothered in tomato sauce) and bae chose the carnitas burrito. Good, but not great!!! why does nothing have flavour? Seems like no spices are used aside from the great Salsas...I also expected the chicken and pork to have a little more of a presence when that's the main protein in the dish. ..the rice is white/ minute with the bag frozen peas/carrots/corn added lol 2/5 for flavour (salsa was great!!! I had to dump that on the gorditas to keep the fried taste out of my mouth) Portions are small for the price. I wanted some good authentic mexican cuisine. This restaurant hit the spot! It's a big establishment, with a big dining area. There is a bar as well, with flat-screen TV's behind the bar. The staff is down to earth and makes you feel right at home. This is a neighborhood gathering spot. It was a decent sized crowd, but not overcrowded. I ordered the Choriqueso and a Coca-Cola. It came with 5 fajita shells, (corn, or flour option). It was topped with lots of melted cheese, the chorizo was pretty darn good! Seasoned just right, too! Went to Belleville for an impromptu family trip. This restaurant is big, lots of seating area. We ordered a lot, each taco order was 4 pieces except for fish. We got beef, pork, beans, enchiladas, soup. The taco soup isn't good at all in my opinion, it was more of a stew rather than soup. Enchiladas was not too bad. It was decent. The only thing that was really good was fish tacos and this chicken soup. The soft taco shells were really dry though, maybe if they added melted cheese or something to it would mane the tacos better. Beef was way too tough, I do not recommend. Great food and friendly service. I went on Taco Tuesday and had the strawberry/guava margarita, chips and guacamole, steak tacos, and churros. The portions were good, the food was great, and I liked the upbeat atmosphere. Service was warm and friendly. I'd definitely recommend!
We just finished having a late lunch here, and the food was really flavorful. As I am a native Texan, I'm pretty critical of good Mexican food. I would definitely recommend this place for some authentic Mexican (with friendly Canadian servers).
Great service, decent menu with many options! Tasty food the only improvement would be that the guacamole was kinda plain. Recommend the margaritas pitchers burrito sandwhich or dorados! Churros were awesome. Great clean ambience
Decent food. Nothing special but nothing bad to say at all. Service was quick. Food was a standard and nothing to write home about.
This is the finest Mexican food that you can find 10/10 and they have Mexican coke that is the best drink you can get
