We were waiting for my boyfriend’s margarita, which was just sitting at the bar while the pregnant waitress was right next to it. If he hadn’t gone up to grab it himself, I shudder to think how much longer we would have waited! Now, onto the food. The portions were small, which I don’t mind, but my boyfriend was not impressed with his carnitas tacos; he said the carnitas tasted overwhelmingly like pork, and if you know carnitas, you’ll understand what he meant. I had the mole enchiladas, which were decent and had a nice flavor, but for $15, I was surprised to only get two enchiladas and rice. If you prefer larger portions, this place isn’t for you. The food and staff were AMAZING! I ordered the carnitas tacos and absolutely loved them. However, I would caution others about the parking lot next door. The rate of $10 per hour is already quite high, and if you're late—as the county office is notorious for making you—you’ll end up with a boot on your car that costs $150 to remove. I tried to explain that I had to stop at the county office, which delayed me more than I anticipated. While $150 may not be a significant amount for some, for me, as someone who travels for work to support a newborn at home, that’s a lot of money that could have gone to formula. What a gem!! We randomly came here came my friend needed to use the bathroom after house hunting, but we stayed for a drink. Needless to say we were pleasantly surprised!The bartender was the loveliest lady and was helpful with the drink options. Their margaritas are HUGE and we left feeling pretty lit. The restaurant is such a cute little place, loved the decor and there was just a great light vibe in the middle of downtown! After reading the reviews I'm sad we didn't order any tacos since everyone is saying how great they are. I'll definitely need to make a point to come back and see what the hype is about.
This restaurant offers truly authentic Mexican cuisine. Our server was exceptionally helpful, taking the time to explain the dishes and suggest options, which we greatly appreciated. We sampled the enchiladas and ceviche, both of which were packed with flavor. The portion sizes were generous for the price. Plus, it's conveniently located near the JFK Memorial Plaza. Everything was so good! We started with the complimentary soup and then had queso, both of which were delicious! Our group of 6 had a variety of nachos and tacos, as well as margaritas. Everything was so good! Christine was our server, and she was amazing! I would highly recommend this place and would love to come here again when we visit the area!
Delicious Mexican food haute cuisine, great flavours, creative cocktails, good ambiance, excellent service. I recommend this restaurant specially if you are visiting John F. Kennedy memorial at downtown Dallas. Tx.
Great tacos, and service. The drinks were also tasty. We had a work party here so we had a lot of the different things they offered.
