My wife and I visited Chimes for a relaxing coffee with tostada. When we ordered coffee we asked for large rather than the standard, which was a big mistake. When It arrived it tasted just like hot milk. I politely asked if we could have it a bit stronger. The waitress with the tattoo on the nape of her neck was not at all happy with our request by the look on her face and muttered this is how it is here. She came back with a tiny jug of strong coffee to add to our mugs which was absolutely perfect. I said “ I hope we haven’t made you cross’ to which she muttered something inaudible. No apologies for lauding a British restaurant in Spain: they provided exactly what we wanted when we needed it. This is 1 of a dozen English and Spanish restaurants that happily co exist around a typically vibrant Spanish village square. 5 stars for feeding my 3 very fussy eaters: 6 chicken wings (Euros 3.95),massive pasta alfredo (7.50), steak pie (6.50) superb home made desserts 3.50. Ciudad Quesada eat your heart out : literally half the price here better service. My home made apple pie n ice cream (3) was the best I've had in years. Only sorry we came here on our last night do try it!
Been here a few times but today was total rubbish, coffee was like dish water, got the order wrong, asked for a sausage sandwich got a bacon sandwich, then got over charged for a small coffee imagine if they try and do that to many peaple every day! And the waiter shouldn't be doing this sort of work!! As he has no people skills.
We visited Chimes in Los Montesinos for a brunch... cheese and mushroom omelette with chips and salad was my choice and my mrs had cheese burger chips and salad. A quickly served meal came up piping hot and was washed down with a beer and a sprite. The waitress was a polite pleasant young lady. We will visit again, no doubt!!

Great place to eat or just sit in the sun with a coffee or beer. They do specials on different days ie Friday they cook up great big fish chips! The staff here work hard with a smile on their faces. It’s a great place to sit in the sun chat to friends over a cold beer.
We sat in Chimes Bar had a cocktail and as it was a Tuesday it was steak pie night. WOW absolutely delicious just like back home. Service and location were first class. Highly recommended
It was our first time there. Top drawer, had breakfast there, lovely staff and excellent service. One of those places where you can sit, relax and watch the world go by...
Great service and the girl who served us was lovely. Not a carvery which was good for me so I wasnt greedy. Going again today so hope it's just as nice . Thank you

Another quality meal at Chimes the carvery is just like it would be in England good choice of meats and vegetables. Nice polite staff and a clean restaurant
