We moved into the area nearly 12 months ago and started using China Xpress as our nearest takeaway that delivered, for convenience. We then started ordering as a weekly treat. Initially the delivery times were reasonable (30 45 mins) and the food was always hot and delivered quickly by friendly people. Over the last four to six months the service has deteriorated so much the food tastes dreadful chips are rock hard and the sweet and sour balls are nothing more than enormous, greasy doughy lumps even the sweet and sour sauce has been vinegary! We ordered last night and we spent quite a fair amount of money. The food took over an hour to come (which to be fair, I prefer as you know it’s fresh) when it came the chips were cold, the spring rolls were basically just filo pastry, there was no filling at all! Additionally we ordered special fried rice with no prawns as my boyfriend doesn’t like them and when it came it was FULL of prawns, do they not realise that we may have ordered without prawns for an allergy reason?! We tried to call back to explain about the rice and there was no answer! In the past we always ordered from here for Chinese food but we won’t be doing again!
I ordered a banquet for two, but unfortunately I am now paying the price for it. Just two hours after eating, I became sick, started sweating, and couldn't keep anything down. The spring rolls were undercooked and the beef was tough. However, the curry was delicious. This used to be my local favorite Chinese restaurant, but I won't be ordering from here again. It's a shame because the food used to be fantastic. The delivery was quick, arriving in 20 minutes instead of the 1 hour 30 minutes they estimated.
I ordered two noodle boxes for delivery, which came to a total of £14.10. I have ordered from this restaurant many times before, but unfortunately this time they only gave us one meal, which was sweet and sour chicken with rice. I tried to call them, but no one answered, leaving us two girls very hungry. It is disappointing when your food arrives late at 11:25 and it's incorrect. Who can you contact in this situation? Overall, I was very disappointed with this experience.

We ordered a take away tonight, it arrived within 15 mins which is ridiculously quick for a sat night. I ordered the sweet noodle box..... absolutely vile... please see pic of my illuminous noodles. Then my husband had salt and pepper chips which were hard and sweet chilli chicken the sauce was watery, again vile. I’ve ordered from here in the past and it’s always been nice but certainly won’t be going back in a hurry
Ordered a big family takeaway for 8 over the phone. Various starters, meals extra dishes. Collected in 20 mins despite being Mothers day. Food was piping hot excellent. 3 x free bags of prawn crackers fortune cookies also given. Would highly recommend will use much more often.
I went to China Express for a treat takeaway for myself and the girl behind the counter was very helpful and polite. The service was quick as I went in early. The food was very very tasteful. The prices are reasonable as well and I would definitely order from there again.
The curry is absolutely amazing.But am afraid that the chips , spring rolls etc are from , maybe Iceland ? Threw in a chip fryer x Not fresh potatoes etc x Not what I expected

The food at this restaurant is incredible! I have been coming here for over 2 years and have never had a disappointing meal. I highly recommend it to everyone.
The meal was great and the staff really nice. I ordered Salt Pepper chicken and a Hot box and they were delicious.
