I had a really hard time finding good Chinese before moving to a new apartment down the road and I'm really glad this place is here. The food is superb. I've had a number of the shrimp dishes because in my experience, shrimp is VERY difficult to work with and I figured it would be a good test of the cook's mettle. My least favorite dish so far was the Jumbo Crispy Shrimp only because I found the sauce a little bit too rich for my taste, but it was still amazing. I cannot speak highly enough of the staff and food at China Stix. Once inside everyone is taking Covid 19 precautions, they are constantly cleaning, and the staff are working over and above to get you in and out quickly. I counted 10 people behind the visible counter (see photo four cooks/prep, three bagging/plating, two working the tills, one constantly cleaning), and the food comes out hot and quick I've yet to be more than ten minutes from walking in the door, and back out again with hot, fresh food. We enjoyed the service and quality of food. Lunch Special General Tso's Chicken was very good. My wife got the chicken, shrimp and beef mandarin style, it might have been a little better...both great. We both got the sommee and they were really delicious, the broth had a lot of taste, the noodles were slightly al dente.... just the way I like them. The egg rolls that came with each meal were small and average. They keep a lot of spices on each table during meal, I don't want to ask for Chinese mustard, hoisin sauce, soy.......Order at the counter and they bring it to you.... we will be back.
My wife and I enjoyed the Orange Chicken yesterday at our first visit. I was in five star hotels in the United States and never had better fresh food. The orange nest in the sauce was fresh, the peppers gave the right kick and rice and broccoli were great. With fresh, breast meat chicken with perfect battering really put the dish apart. Will definitely come back! The prices are great. We're addicted.

I had one of the worst dining experiences I've ever encountered. The portions were incredibly small, the flavors were bland, and the food was served cold and inedible. To top it off, it was quite expensive. Even my dog wouldn't go near it. As for the vegetarian options, they were equally disappointing. Overall, it was a letdown. I opted for takeout, and I certainly won't be returning.
I came here with my entire family after seeing it on Instagram, where their videos looked appealing. We ended up spending $260, but I felt cheated. The food was terrible and lacked any flavor—just a huge disappointment. I drove all the way from The Woodlands, and honestly, save your money; Panda Express is better.

This is the best food in the city I live in Austin, but every time I am in Houston, I have to pass, I am addicted to the chicken and shrimp fried rice! Love, love, love!
