The atmosphere was clean with a modern diner vibe. You order at the front counter, and if you get bottomless coffee, they give you a mug and point you to a self-serve coffee station, which felt a bit unusual for a restaurant. We tried the Boss Burger for $14, which came with just the patty, sauce, cheese, and bun. We added an egg for $2.50, which was cooked perfectly. Although the menu described it as a smashed burger, the patty was about an inch thick and lacked flavor. I stay at the Alt East Village in Calgary to enjoy an excellent breakfast at Chix Eggshop. Begin with a fantastic latte and then choose from a great menu. It’s the perfect way to start your day in Calgary! The atmosphere is wonderful, and the staff are always cheerful and friendly—just like Iryna! I highly recommend this place. Enjoy.
