If you’re a fan of Thai food, you absolutely have to try Chong Co Thai. They have a strong presence throughout Canberra, with locations in Belconnen, Woden, and Kingston. I recently visited their Belconnen restaurant and ordered my favorite dishes. We started with Chicken Satay skewers served with peanut sauce, along with vegetable curry puffs and spring rolls—everything was incredibly crispy and delicious! For our main courses, we had the chicken combination rice and vegetable pad thai, which I loved for the perfectly crinkled carrots and abundance of fresh vegetables. I've visited this restaurant several times, and I really enjoy it. The flavors are excellent for a mid-range place, and the staff is quite friendly and attentive. During my last visit, I had some fantastic ribs. After 9 PM, they close off one section of the restaurant as they start to wind down for the evening. Being asked to leave before you finish your meal feels almost like an authentic traditional experience similar to some Asian restaurants in Canberra.
Loved the food here! Authentic thai and best part is they provide option for people who do not like spicy food! The papaya salad with soft shell crab, griled chicken, pad see ew noodles, thai fried rice, beef in black bean sauce and kana moo grob were well worth the price as the taste is excellent! We were fully satisfied and felt good after eating here. Definitely coming back here:
I had dinner there tonight with a friend, and I wanted to share my experience. As someone with a disability who uses a small mobility scooter, I sometimes struggle with maneuvering. This evening, I had a bit of trouble getting out, and several staff members rushed over to assist me right away. I truly appreciated their help, and to top it off, the food was delightful!

The food and service are amazing! Rice was refillable, staff was very nice, and wait was not long at all. Items from the chefs recommended menu is super good. We got soft shell crab, pork rib and lamb curry. All were delish, with soft shell crab being super amazing.
The Thai food here is excellent and consistently high quality. Chong Co rarely misses the mark. Food: 5/5, Service: 5/5, Atmosphere: 5/5. Highly recommend!
The food was delightful! I really enjoyed the sticky rice and mango dessert; it was absolutely delicious. The service was excellent as well.
