This restaurant serves the worst food I have ever seen. We paid £32 for a meal of fish, scampi, chips, and kids' nuggets, but we had to wait for half an hour despite being the only customers there. When we finally received our food, we found everything was burnt and not even resembling traditional chip shop fare. The scampi was just crispy batter with no actual fish inside, and the nuggets were as hard as rocks. Disappointed, we returned the entire meal and demanded a refund. We don’t think anyone goes to work to do a bad job but this for us was the exception. We’d previously visited Chubby’s and had a bad takeaway. We put this down to experience. However, decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and visited again. The food was dreadful and completely un-edible . What a waste of £20! Sadly the kebab was wafer thin, over cooked and generally rancid. The salad looked a month old and the chips had clearly been sat in the hopper for hours. The kebab was ordered with dressing which was missing and he wanted to charge an extra £1.20 for a pot of mayo that should have been on the food. We literally binned the whole order. If I could I would rate a zero.
I would give this restaurant a zero rating if I could! The food was absolutely disgusting and the meat was undercooked. I paid £34 for overcooked fries and rare meat, which was revolting. I do not recommend dining here. The prices are too high and the food is terrible.
Stopped for some supper and very disappointed. The chips are not traditional 'fish chip shop ' chips. They may be chunky but they are more like fried oven chips, not nice at all. Very disappointed and not it was years ago. Will not be stopping again. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Extremely poor. £40 for luke warm, minnow-sized fish at £7.90 each. Derisory quantity of luke warm chips. Mushy peas ok. Sausages luke warm/undercooked. Very disappointing and overpriced. Lowest rated fish and chip shop in South Wight. Steer clear!!
Visited this restaurant with friends while on holiday. It was the only chip shop open until midnight, and we were pleasantly greeted by the friendly staff. I would give it a 5-star rating, as it is the best chip shop we've tried so far.
Back again and have to say it's good food and very reasonably priced... provided you are not looking for fish! I had a battered sausage and chips with pineapple fritters and it was lush... scoffed each and every mouthful
