The food is incredible, but the prices are extremely steep. I only had $40, and after my kids picked their meals, I was left with just enough for a loaded fry. Be ready to spend a lot, and be prepared for the intense heat inside the restaurant—if you choose to dine in, you’ll definitely be sweating. While the food is great, the restaurant should consider the needs of the local community instead of catering primarily to wealthy visitors from downtown looking for the special 'Chucks Coney Dog.' Also, there isn’t a kids' menu available. The receipt really tells the story!
This adorable little hole-in-the-wall is a charming spot. The gentleman at the counter was fantastic and incredibly polite. It was my first visit, and I decided to try the Coney Island special, which comes with two coney dogs, fries, and a drink. It’s a great deal! The fries were delicious and piping hot, while the coney dogs looked tempting, though a bit messy—just the way you want them. I hope to return soon!
We absolutely love this place, as you can see from the photo! We ordered two cheeseburgers, one of which came as a combo with a drink, and we only had to wait about 10-15 minutes! Honestly, it was the best burger I've had in ages. The gentleman working there was very polite and helpful! I highly recommend trying this place—you won't be able to stop eating once you start! Great job, Coney Island!
I recently dined at this restaurant, and I was truly impressed by both the owner and the delicious food. You really need to experience it for yourself! I traveled all the way from Carmel, Indiana, and it was definitely worth the trip. I will certainly be returning, and I encourage everyone to give this place a chance. Everything was on point! I had the three beef Polish sausages, which were great. Unfortunately, my fries were cold. The place was clean, as always, and the owner is a really great guy. Just a heads up, their new business hours now close at 5 PM. Exciting news – the restaurant is about to undergo a remodel and expansion!
This restaurant serves the best hot dog in the state! I was thoroughly impressed by how delicious the Detroit Dog was. They also have some of the best sodas that will remind you of your childhood. Every meal here is a great experience. Be sure to visit and support this local Black-owned business!
I can't get enough of this place! The menu is so extensive that I felt a bit overwhelmed. I can't wait to return and try something else. My experience was fantastic, and those cheese dishes—oh my goodness! The staff are wonderful, and the ambiance is perfect for enjoying a great meal.
