Waiter very attentive. A good atmosphere and two choices of menu with the pizza, burger and ribs shack or main pub menu All seemed good until some of our drinks were forgotten. The waiter apologised and said he would not charge us for them however he did. Secondly three people from our party of eleven ordered ribs from the shack menu but they certainly didn't fall off the bone. My father in law and sister in law said they were quite tough. My son said his were lovely, so this must be due to an error by the chef. Did we complain no as this is a Michelin restaurant and should not have been served unless the food was perfect. we visited my birthday so it was a special occasion and the church green did not disappoint. delicious food and friendly relaxed atmosphere. would like to visit it again in the summer and taste the pizzas while sitting outside in the beautiful garden. we had an appetizer, Sunday dinner and desserts and really felt that we had gourmet dishes. I had smoked oxtail to start roast, bauch schwein for pornstar and lemon tart for dessert. I didn't get pictures of the starter or head of my man, but his dessert was cherry bakewell. in any case recommended by both of us.
Been many times recently and always thought the food is seriously good. You can see there is a decent chef driving the menu and quality of food here with nice ingredients and always well made. It’s a cut above your usual pub menu as you would expect from the owner! Try the shack menu it’s great and the desserts are so well made too. So many places deserts are an afterthought but the Church Green is quality food throughout. We will be back as we love it. If you haven’t been… go!
Had Sunday dinner here when we were out for a walk. It was lovely, staff were really friendly. It was so good we actually called back for a snack at tea time and shared the ribs from the shack. They were fantastic. Highly recommended.
