Churchills Fish Chips

I would just like to say well done to the team in fleet this evening. Whilst I was in there tonight an Irish guy came in and tried to use a fake £50 note and the lady behind the counter dealt with the situation in...a very professional manner explaining she wasn’t going to give the note back as it was fake. The gentleman started to get aggressive and she stayed very calm and professional. The two young men working there too were brilliant, well done all. The gentleman grabbed the money out of the ladies hand and left the shop. Credit where credits due. No sooner the man left another man came in and ordered some chips, he was a little under the influence and decided he couldn’t afford them, I...

not the best fish chips I had, but it was a Monday and most others were closed, so churchill gave a try. my medium-sized toy was 1.5 pieces in a teig I found tasteless, although the fish was quite beautiful. the great disappointment at...I was that at the price they calculate, I did not expect the fish to leave their skin on! my preference is skinless cod. my wife had the sampi and again was not overly impressed and wished she had gone for the cod! the prepacked tartaric acid sauce was more like mayo, but it was hot! undoubtedly the better chippies are the Verne and/or ancells farm.

from yorkshire we decided to have fish chips, which we usually do in the south of englands, where like a good curry is hard to find! After we had convinced that, we wanted our squids to be skinned and easily debristed, and our bag with a certain contempt for home to have brought to our family house. the fish was absolutely fantastic, slightly broken and fat and fleshy. really tasty and also, despite not fried in the bark dripping. unfortunately the “big” chips were ok, but nothing more so 4 stars. the service was also good and friendly so relatiw happy. thanks to churchills fleet.

This was my first visit to Churchill's and it looked very smart and modern so I had high hopes. Unfortunately the batter on the cod was very flat (they almost looked like they had been breaded) and the fish was very dry, flat and overcooked....I'm afraid to say that I don't think I have every had such bad fish from a chip shop. I don't think it had been waiting about as there was some wait before it was ready and there was no queue. I'm sorry to say that I won't be visiting again. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

we have used churchills at a series of occasions and although eating is in order, the service has deteriorated. at the last opportunity to click and collect the food was late, and ordered from 4 meals, 3 were completely wrong. that was not quite surprising. when the organization was shambisch. the management offered a creditworthiness for the cost of eating, but we will not use categorically to reload this.

Chips warm and rubbery Fish batter very greasy but the cod inside ok to eat Very disappointed and the staff were disorganised and unhelpful Have been a regular customer since opening and expected better Called to complain but was told no one else had had...an issue and he didn’t understand why we did terrible customer service

I went because Ancells was closed. What a disappointment. Not really a proper fish and chip shop with skin on the cod. At £17.50 for 2 it was much more expensive? Both the fish and chips were anaemic. Gave the place a second chance as...I went when it first opened. No improvement .

Freshly cooked ; fish, chips, saveloy, sausage, mushy peas, mmm. Nom nom. Well worth a visit they do online ordering as well.

Had a pensioner's cod and chips. Good value. Portion not too big, not too small. Not overly salty either. Looks very clean.
